The problems of all the family members a hopeles...。舞妓晚霞（何晴饰）不堪淮王（张绮军饰）侮辱投江自尽，艺人阿端（张小清饰）也被逼坠江而亡。龙宫歌舞掌班解姥姥（高玉倩饰）救活阿端，并把他编入歌舞班。一日，龙窝君（陈希饰）宴请吴江王（刘振中饰），阿端认识了凄美动人的少女晚霞，相同的身世和遭遇使俩人很快相爱了。宴会上对晚霞美貌起邪念的吴江王夜不能寐，他设计召奉晚霞入府，图谋不轨，刚烈的晚霞再次以死殉志。阿端闻讯，万念俱灰，跳崖追晚霞而去。二人以死殉情的行为感动了上苍，使他们死而复生返回人间。淮王闻讯晚霞还活着，心生歹念...... 本片根据《聊斋志异》章节改编。。
