是旦哥（陈百祥饰）是一代传奇赌神胡三城（胡枫饰）的徒弟，出师后，他亦收了三个徒弟OK仔（马国明饰）、潇洒哥（何浩文饰）和吹水文（黄浩然饰）。施小东（佘诗曼饰）带着程小北（高海宁饰）和黄小南（文凯玲饰）两位师妹前往神算子处帮老板锺叔（郭峰饰）求教破解诅咒之术，在机缘巧合之下遇见了OK仔等人，六人因为误会结下了梁子。 准备金盆洗手的是旦哥在一场意外中惹恼了富二代屠大宝（吴家乐饰），无奈之下，师徒四人只得东躲西藏的来到了位于新界的一处小小村庄内，在此再度遇见了施小东一行三人，两波人马在相处的过程中渐渐消解了误会。与此同时，OK仔在误打误撞之中识破了屠大宝的父亲屠东海（李国麟饰）的阴谋。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely.
