任职政府文员的Alan再一次因鸡毛蒜皮的小事与上司争吵而被炒鱿鱼，这已是两年内第五次了。自从中学毕业后，Alan便投身社会，尽管其父一再要求他接管家庭经营的药房生意，但Alan一直推辞，不想走别人铺设好的道路，希望自己能够干出一番事业来。不过，既没有目标也没什么理想的Alan无论做什么也不投入，永远缺少一份热诚，故每每撞板碰壁，没有一份工作可以干得久，直到他重遇Dash……。A private detective helps a prostitute being assaulted, and notices that she is wearing a very unique ring. She is later found murdered and there is no trace of the ring, which turns out to be part of a cache of jewelry stolen by the Nazis during World War II and smuggled out of France after the wary by an American army colonel.
