电影《屋顶上的猫》主要描述了留守儿童小龙（巫晨曦饰）从小与爷爷（张毅饰）生活在一起，他与好朋友乐乐（石亦凡饰）、小美（潘婧之饰）约定小学毕业后，一起上市重点。然而乐乐与小美违背约定的同时，小龙的父亲通知小龙即将去上海上学。小龙不愿离开爷爷和好朋友，便偷偷带着从小养大的猫离家出走。本以为自己在废区可以靠着捡垃圾独立生活，但万万没想到陪伴他一起长大的猫被拾荒青年向阳埋掉了。最终，失去一切的小龙选择去上海上学的故事。。Follows a group of girlfriends from Assam and Meghalaya, north-eastern states in India, gathering in the back streets of Delhi to throw a secret wedding party for a soon-to-be bride.
