1962年，年幼的林初三和姑妈秀姨母女随大陆难民潮来到香港，无依无靠的初三在暴动中结识了地头蛇大哥泉哥，被其收为义子，和泉哥的儿子沙皮做了异性兄弟。泉哥被仇人杀死，初三跟沙皮两兄弟自此寄人篱下，初三因藏匿老大的毒品被迫染上毒瘾，时间一晃多年，初三告别戒毒所后，与沙皮结识了女学生阿美，初三对阿美一见钟情，两人不久奉子成婚。沙皮在婚礼上为了保住初三的面子不惜以身犯险，结果婚宴刚过，两兄弟因打劫又刺伤警察被判入狱。在狱中，他们领悟到小弟生涯毫无前途，于是出狱后借高利贷拉皮条，这将二人又引向了另一个深渊……。Having grown up in the mountains Chiayi, installation artist WANG Wen-chih weaves his memories of mountains and forests into his work.
